ELVIRA AND LOU

In the late 90s, while managing a large health & fitness club in NYC, I was shocked by the low standards of cleaners I found. Knowing my own strong attention to cleanliness due to having OCD, I was confident I could do better. In 1998, at the age of 24 and as a single mother, I made the decision to open my own cleaning business while still working my day job. Thus, JMS was born, with the 'J' representing my son, Joe and "MS" standing for Maintenance Services. Recognizing the need for an efficient, reliable, and professional cleaning service, I began building my company from the ground up by acquiring customers one by one, through dedication and hard work.

In 2002, my husband Lou and I joined forces to grow the company together. Our mission is simple: to provide the highest quality cleaning services to our clients, while maintaining a focus on integrity and reliability. I am excited to see what the future holds for JMS and look forward to continuing to serve our clients with the same level of excellence and dedication that has been our hallmark for over two decades.

I have been a self-employed businessman and entrepreneur for my entire career. I previously owned a successful Courier Service company in San Francisco, California, which I sold in 2002.

In 2002, I made the decision to join my wife Elvira. We became business partners, utilizing our skills and expertise to elevate the company and cater to clients in the NY & NJ region.

Together, we established a shared vision for our business and personal goals. While our vision has evolved over time, we regularly revisit it. This united vision has greatly enhanced our teamwork and productivity.

After more than 22+ years in business and a team of 100+ skilled employees, JMS has built a loyal client base across various industries in the New York, NYC & New Jersey region. We are proud to be recognized as one of the most reputable cleaning companies in the area.
