How JMS Started
About Elvira
Back in the late 90s, at just 23 years old, I was a single mother juggling the demands of managing a health club on Fifth Avenue. I quickly realized that poor cleaning wasn’t just an inconvenience—it was hurting the business, which in turn affected my earnings. Frustrated but determined, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I let go of the existing cleaning company and stepped in myself, ensuring the job was done right. That moment sparked something bigger than I had imagined—it set me on the path to entrepreneurship. To make it official, I built my own cleaning business, naming it after my son who fueled my drive and determination. I turned a challenge into an opportunity by accident and created a legacy rooted in hard work and perseverance.
About Lou
I have been a self-employed businessman and entrepreneur for my entire career. I previously owned a successful Courier Service company in San Francisco, California, which I sold in 2002.
In 2002, I made the decision to join my wife Elvira. We became business partners, utilizing our skills and expertise to elevate the company and cater to clients in the NY & NJ region.
Together, we established a shared vision for our business and personal goals. While our vision has evolved over time, we regularly revisit it. This united vision has greatly enhanced our teamwork and productivity.
After more than 22+ years in business and a team of 100+ skilled employees, JMS has built a loyal client base across various industries in the New York, NYC & New Jersey region. We are proud to be recognized as one of the most reputable cleaning companies in the area.
